Renovating and restoring a heritage home is an exercise in restraint: how does one retain original architectural intentions but transform the spaces to accommodate our modern lifestyles? Carefully, with discipline, and a flair for marrying the old with the new.

We are renowned for the remodelling of heritage homes including blue plaque and a few of our favourite Sir Herbert Baker buildings. We are proud of our successful work with PHRAG and constantly look to uphold the ethos of Johannesburg's historical suburbs.

We also offer pre-purchase consultations, at the invitation of estate agents, for home buyers who would like to understand the potential of heritage properties.

Lorin sits on the Saxonwold and Parkwood Residents’ Association (SAPRA) as their Heritage Architect, responsible for approving plans for alterations and renovations of heritage buildings in coordination with the Provincial Heritage Resource Agency (PHRAG).
